About Me

Welcome to my Gluten-Free World !

I’m Selin – the person behind The Gluten-Free Fork.

This is my little corner of the internet inspired by my Instagram journey which I’ve been nurturing for the past 13 years. It all began after my child was diagnosed with celiac disease, and since then, sharing gluten-free recipes, tips, and life hacks has become my passion.

Starting this blog has been an adventure in itself. It took me four days just to get the basic setup done — a complete day to get my Instagram and email icons align perfectly ! Proof, if nothing else, that luckily I never pursued a career in IT!

I grew up in a crowded home where food was love taking shape. In our family kitchen, cooking, eating, feeding others and talking about food were part of everyday life. Meals were never just about eating – they were how we shared care, connection and joy. I learned very early on that love could be transmitted through food.

Therefore, this space will be sincere and from the heart. I don’t have a rigid plan for it yet; it will unfold naturally, day by day, a bit like a diary – a mix of recipes, thoughts, experiences, and discoveries. I can only promise a messy perfection. I simply want to connect with people who care about gluten-free living and who love food.

And there’s more to come: my upcoming book, soon to be published in Istanbul, which tells my life’s story through the kitchen – from my grandmother’s and mother’s Armenian/Turkish kitchen to the gluten-free kitchen I cook in today. And believe me, that’s been quite a journey too, considering I barely knew how to crack an egg until my late 20s.

I dream of growing this blog into a space that feels genuine, fun and comforting for anyone living gluten-free. I will sprinkle in a little love and a touch of humor to every word I write – I hope you will feel it as you read and you will feel good to come back to.

Thank you for opening your hearts to my words and your kitchens to my recipes.

Cheers, S.
